THE LATEST IRCC PROCESSING TIMES AS OF JANUARY 4

In 2022, the Immigration and Reference Card Commission (IRCC) handled about 5.2 million applications.

This was more than twice the number of documents processed in 2021.

1.02 million applications were still being processed based on IRCC’s service criteria.

As of November 30, 2022, IRCC was processing around 2.1 million applications in total.

The processing time commences when IRCC receives the application and concludes when the immigration officer makes a determination on the application.

These processing times are intended to provide a more accurate representation of how long it takes to process an application.
