Registered Nurses moving to Nova Scotia from other Canadian provinces and seven other nations can now get a license from the NSCN. The first of its kind.

These 7 nations include the Philippines, India, Nigeria, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) licenses and maintains professional standards in the province.

In May 2023, RNs from these nations with good reputations and morals can register and get a license in Nova Scotia without additional steps.

RNs from the seven countries and Canadian provinces need only pass the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination).

The official press release states that RNs with valid licenses from another Canadian province will have a five- to 24-hour processing time starting March 29, 2023.

International RNs from the Philippines, India, Nigeria, the US, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand in good standing can apply in a few weeks starting May 1, 2023.

Nurses from these countries can apply directly to NSCN.
