Canada Immigration Update: IRCC Holds another EE All-Program Draw
The Canadian government has conducted another round of invitations for candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry (EE) system. The EE system uses a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to assess candidates based on factors such as age, education, language proficiency, and work experience. The latest draw took place on April 26, 2023, and 3,500 candidates were invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
This round of invitations did not specify any particular program, and candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades, and Provincial Nominee Program were eligible to apply. The minimum CRS score required to be invited was 483.
Candidates who completed any part of their Canadian degree, diploma, or certificate program between March 2020 and August 2022, even if they completed the program entirely through distance learning, from outside Canada, or through part-time studies, are now eligible for Canadian educational credential points.
The CRS score distribution of candidates in the EE pool as of April 26, 2023, shows that the majority of candidates fall within the 351-450 score range, with a total of 69,709 candidates falling within this range. The score distribution is subject to change as candidates submit new profiles, and other profiles expire.
If you are interested in applying for permanent residency in Canada through the EE system, it is important to keep an eye on future rounds of invitations and ensure that your profile is up to date with accurate information. Candidates with the highest CRS scores are more likely to be invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
