Furthermore, 300 invitations were sent to profiles with a score of 74 or higher; the target occupations for these invitations were 54 skilled trades.
EOIs received by the Ontario PNP between November 22, 2022 and March 14, 2023 were taken into consideration for both of today’s draws.

The OINP refers to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. It is a provincial nominee program (PNP) designed to allow the government of Ontario to nominate qualified immigrants for permanent residency in Canada.

Under the OINP, Ontario has the authority to nominate a certain number of individuals each year for permanent residency. These nominees must have the necessary skills, education, and work experience to contribute to Ontario’s economy and society.

The OINP has several streams, each with its own set of eligibility requirements and criteria. These include:

Employer Job Offer Category – this stream is for foreign workers who have a job offer from an Ontario employer and have the necessary qualifications to perform the job.

Human Capital Category – this stream is for foreign workers, international students, and others who have the necessary skills and experience to live and work in Ontario. There are three sub-categories under this stream:

a. Ontario Express Entry – this sub-category is for individuals who have an active Express Entry profile and meet Ontario’s specific requirements.

b. Ontario French-Speaking Skilled Worker – this sub-category is for French-speaking skilled workers who have the necessary language proficiency and work experience to contribute to Ontario’s economy.

c. Ontario International Graduate – this sub-category is for international students who have graduated from an eligible Ontario post-secondary institution and have a job offer in Ontario.

Business Category – this stream is for individuals who are looking to start or invest in a business in Ontario. There are two sub-categories under this stream:

a. Entrepreneur Stream – this sub-category is for individuals who are looking to start a business in Ontario.

b. Corporate Stream – this sub-category is for established international corporations looking to expand into Ontario.

Overall, the OINP is an important program for Ontario’s economy and for individuals looking to immigrate to Canada. It allows Ontario to attract and retain skilled workers and entrepreneurs who can contribute to the province’s growth and success.
