Express Entry.

Express Entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for permanent residency from skilled workers who wish to move to Canada. The program was launched in January 2015 and has since become the primary mode of economic immigration to Canada.

The Express Entry system is a points-based system that ranks candidates based on their age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and other factors. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements and have the highest scores are invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada.

To be eligible for Express Entry, candidates must first complete an online profile outlining their skills, work experience, and other details. The Canadian government then assesses the candidate’s profile and assigns a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS is a point-based system that ranks candidates based on several factors such as age, education, language proficiency, and work experience.

Candidates who score high enough are then placed into a pool of applicants and may be selected to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency. Once they receive an ITA, candidates have 60 days to submit a full application for permanent residency.

Express Entry has several programs under its umbrella, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. Each program has its own eligibility requirements and selection criteria, but all fall under the Express Entry system.
