BC announces Skills Immigration online registration system will be temporarily unavailable due to the transition to the NOC 2021

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently announced that due to the transition to a newer version of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system, known as NOC 2021, the Skills Immigration online registration system will be temporarily unavailable from Oct. 12, 2022 to Nov. 16, 2022.

The last invitation to apply (ITA) under the current NOC system, NOC 2016, will be issued on Oct. 12, 2022. It has also been stated that invitees will have up to 30 calendar days to submit their application, which in its turn is to be processed under the program criteria used on the submission day. Since all Skills Immigration registrations remaining in the registration pool after Oct 12, 2022 will be removed from the pool, the applicant will need to resubmit the registration when the system is available again.
