Canada provinces hold simultaneous draws for PNP nomination
Several Canada provinces, namely Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia held draws under the Provincial Nominee Program. Details were published last week.
Under Alberta’s AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, the province invited 100 candidates with active Express Entry profiles on May 19, 2022. In order to be invited, a candidate’s score must at least be 382 to apply to Alberta’s provincial nominee program. To be eligible, the candidate should have work experience in an occupation required by the stream. Future applicants must check Alberta’s official website to check the eligible occupations should they wish to apply.
On May 24, 2022, 137 candidates were invited through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) draw. 115 of them received invitation for the BC Tech draw. These candidates must meet the requirements under the province’s Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories as managed by BC’s SIRS (Skills and Immigration Registration System). They were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories with a minimum score of 85. For BC’s targeted occupations, 11 early childhood educators who meet the minimum requirements for the Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories. The province also invited 11 healthcare professionals meeting the requirements for the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, or the Express Entry and Semi-Skilled sub-categories. 60 is minimum score both these draws.
The province of Manitoba held its periodic draw to invite citizens of Ukraine to apply for provincial nomination. Manitoba held three special invitation rounds since the middle of March. 13 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to eligible candidates with a minimum score of 60.
