Nova Scotia Introduces Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry (NSEE)

The Immigration department introduces Nova Scotia: Express Entry stream which helps select highly skilled individuals who wanted to permanently live and settle in the province. To be qualified, applicants must have at least twelve months or one year work experience in any of Nova Scotia’s high skilled occupation. However, the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry has been temporarily stopped by the Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration to all NOC 6311 – Food Service Supervisors.

 

Despite having a temporary pause on the NOC 6311; the following listed below will still remain the same:

 

  • To recruit Food Service Supervisors, Skilled Worker stream will still continue to be able to use by business working in the food and hospitality sector.
  • Individuals who uses NOC 6311 can still apply through the Skilled Worker Stream
  • Employers who are also able to recruit Food and Beverage servers (NOC 6513) and food counter attendants, kitchen helpers and related support occupations

 

To be eligible to apply in this stream, an applicant must:

  • Be at least 21 to 55 years old
  • Have at least 12 months or one year work experience in Nova Scotia
  • Have a CVanadian high school credential or equivalent
  • Have a language ability in English or French on the Canadian Language Benchmark and must have at least CLB 7 under the skilled work in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0 and A; while CLB 5 for positions in NOC B
  • Have an Express Entry profile that is registered in the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada system
