IRCC To Send Online Survey to Canada’s Newcomers

February 23, 2022 – An online survey for newcomers to Canada is being conducted by the Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship, and Canada to know about their own experiences of discrimination in the city or town that they are living in. This survey will help the IRCC inform its services and meet the needs of the said newcomers to Canada. In addition to this, through this survey, the immigration department will be helped to create further awareness campaigns moving forward.

 

Participation in this online survey is purely voluntary and all the pieces of information stated will completely be confidential. This information from the survey will only be used by the IRCC  to improve the department’s services and programs. It was clear that the answers provided by the participants will not affect any past, current, and future applications with the IRCC.

 

The IRCC started sending out an invitation to take the survey through email, email invites were sent to the immigrants who became permanent residents from the year 2015 to 2019 who are now at least 18 years old. The survey only takes 10 – 15 minutes to complete and is available in both English and French language. Invited immigrants who wish to take the survey have a deadline until March 9, 2022. There will be a provided email address to contact the IRCC for any questions.
