Canada Launches A New Online Tracker For Family Class Permanent Residence Application

 In News

To drive Canada’s economy, they need their immigration as it helps address the country’s labor shortage as well as it helps lead the community towards success. Through continuous improvements in client service and providing the best experience for those individuals who can already see their future in Canada, the government knew that all these could help attract more people to choose Canada as their chosen destination.

February 8, 2022, in Ottawa, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada announced that Canada will launch a new digital case status tracker. It was also recently announced that Canada is modernizing its immigration system to be able to support economic recovery and to also improve clients’ experience, and with that initiative, this new case status tracker is set to launch. Through this tracker, applicants, sponsors as well as representatives of the family class permanent residence will be allowed to view and check the status of their application online. This latest tool will enable clients to track their submitted applications and also help them oversee any needed action to keep their applications moving as quickly as possible. This will also help increase transparency by providing them access to all of the information they will receive if they reach out to an IRCC client service agent.

For the pilot launch, the said new tracker will be accessible for the categories of permanent residence applicants in the spouse partner and dependent child. As part of the initiative to introduce new tools to support clients, the IRCC is currently working on providing a similar solution and opening the online service to more groups of applicants. As the immigration department implements measures to improve its client experience, the department also centers its attention on reducing the processing times for applicants. With the help of the immigration department’s different measures, the standard processing time for the application of spousal sponsorship has returned to its standard processing of 12 months for the new applications.
