January 25, 2022 – British Columbia held its latest draw and through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, the province has invited a total of 289 immigration candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams. Invitations were given to those candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate as well as the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams.

A total of 264 invitations were sent through a general draw making it the majority of the sent-out invitations. The said candidates received an invitation if they were able to meet the minimum score requirement of between 77 and 114 points depending on the program in which they are qualified. In addition to this, another draw was held that targeted candidates whose occupations fall under the category of either NOC 0621 or NOC 0631 which resulted in 25 invited immigration candidates having a minimum score requirement of 114 points across the board.

British Columbia has been conducting a separate round of invitations twice a month since last February 2021, it is said to be a part of British Columbia’s PNP program. It was explained that these draws are being held because of the high number of immigration candidates from particular labor sectors who are registered in British Columbia’s kills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
