 In News

January 18, 2020 – British Columbia held its latest round of draw and invited a total of 91 tech workers to apply for provincial nomination. These invitations were issued through the province’s BC PNP Tech which is a stream under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The province has now issued a total number of 425 invitations to apply for provincial nomination so far this month.

British Columbia uses the BC PNP, an economic immigration pathway, to attract experienced and high-demand foreign workers towards the province. Through this program, people who choose to live and work in British Columbia are given a path towards permanent residence.

Candidates who received an invitation through British Columbia’s tech draw must meet all the requirements of either one of British Columbia’s Skilled Immigration and Express Entry BC categories that are being managed through the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS). In addition to this, invitations sent through this draw were from the International Graduate and Skilled Worker subcategories and must have a minimum provincial score of 80 points. They are given 30 calendar days to apply for provincial nomination.
