BC and Saskatchewan Release Latest PNP Draw Details
January 11, 2021 – British Columbia held its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw and invited a total of 232 immigration candidates. Through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, B.C. held two draws and invited candidates under the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams. Through the province’s general draw, a total of 201 invitations were sent making it the majority of the sent-out invitations. If these candidates met the minimum score requirement of between 78 and 110 depending on the program to which they are eligible to apply, they will receive an invitation.
British Columbia’s second draw targeted candidates who have an occupation that falls under either NOC 0621 – Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers or NOC 0631 – Restaurant and Food Service Managers. This draw resulted in 31 invitations sent having a minimum score of 110 points across the board.
Meanwhile, Saskatchewan held its first draw of 2022 and invited a total of 104 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on January 12, 2022. Invited candidates of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program are to apply through two of the province’s immigration streams. From the invited candidates, 37 of those may be qualified for the SINP’s Express Entry subcategory, while the remaining 67 candidates may be qualified for the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.
From each sub-category, the lowest-scoring candidates had 68 points on Saskatchewan’s EOI ranking system. In addition to this, invited candidates from both of the categories are required to present Educational Credential Assessments for them to demonstrate their foreign education and that it can be compared to the Canadian standard.
For Saskatchewan’s first draw of the year, the province invited candidates having work experience in one of the six occupations:
- Medical Laboratory Technologists
- Paramedical Occupation
- Psychologists
- Medical Sonographers
- Occupational Therapists
- Medical Radiation Technologists
