Saskatchewan Held Its Biggest PNP Draw

 In News

Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category is an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) because it is linked to the federal Express Entry system. For Canada’s three main economic-class immigration programs, specifically Canadian Express Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Federal Skilled Trades Program, it is Express Entry who manages the pool of candidates.

November 18, 2021 – Saskatchewan held its latest round of invitations and invited a total of 633 immigration candidates. After the province’s almost two months hiatus from holding their draws, candidates were invited through Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) to apply through its two immigration streams. Of all the invited candidates, 208 may be qualified for the Occupations In-Demand sub-category while the remaining 425 candidates may be eligible for the SINP’s Express Entry sub-category.

From each sub-category, the lowest-scoring candidate had 65 points on the ranking system of Saskatchewan’s Expression of Interest (EOI). A total of 14 eligible occupations were available for this draw that can be found on Saskatchewan’s government website (https://www.saskatchewan.ca/) In addition to this, candidates from both groups will be needing an Educational Credential Assessments for them to be able to demonstrate that their foreign education is comparable to the Canadian standard.
