To attract experienced and high-demand foreign workers, British Columbia used the BC PNP as a pathway. Through this program, people who choose to live and work in British Columbia were given a chance to have a pathway to permanent residency in the province.

November 16, 2021 –  British Columbia held their latest draw and invited a total of 87 tech workers to apply for provincial nomination through the BC PNP Tech which is a stream under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). All candidates who received an invite through British Columbia’s latest Tech draw must meet the requirements of either one of British Columbia’s Skills Immigration (SI) or Express Entry BC (EEBC) categories which are both managed through the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Candidates of this draw were from the International Graduate and Skilled Workers subcategories and a minimum provincial score of at least 75 points is needed by the candidates who received an invitation in this tech draw; they were also given 30 calendar days for them to submit their application for the nomination. To date, British Columbia has already issued over 10,500 invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
