B.C and Alberta Invites 500 Plus Candidates Through Its Latest PNP Draw

The Western Prairie Province held their latest PNP draw last October 26, 2021, making it their 6th draw in a row, and details are now released. A total of 248 immigration candidates having an Express Entry score of at least 300 points were invited through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program. To date, Alberta has already invited 6,158 Express Entry candidates to apply for their provincial nomination since they resumed their rounds of invitation in January 2021 after taking a temporary pause in the latter months of 2020. Alberta province is allowed to issue a total of 6,250 nomination certificates for the year 2021.

Meanwhile, in British Columbia, a total of 340 immigration candidates were invited to apply for provincial nomination through its two Provincial Nominee Program on November 9.  The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invited candidates from the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) streams.

The majority of the sent-out invites went to the 287 candidates who did not receive an invite for their occupation. The said candidates will receive an invitation if they’ll be able to meet the minimum score requirement of between 69 and 94 points, depending on what program the candidate is eligible for. While the second draw targeted all the candidates whose occupation falls under the category of either Retail and Wholesale Trade Manager (NOC 0621) and Restaurant and Food Service Manager (NOC 0631) to which resulted in a total of 53 invited candidates having a minimum score of 104 points across the board. To date, British Columbia has already issued over 10,000 invitations through different BC PNP streams.
