November 2, 2021 – British Columbia held their latest draw and invited a total of 77 tech workers to apply for a provincial nomination. Invitations sent to all qualified candidates were issued through the stream under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) which is BC PNP Tech.

BC PNP Tech is an economic immigration pathway that is used by British Columbia to captivate different experienced and high-demand foreign workers. Through this program, the people who aim to live and work in British Columbia are given a path towards permanent residency.  All invited candidates must first meet the requirements of either one of British Columbia’s Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC categories, which are both managed through the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS)

In this recent draw, a minimum score of 75 points from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories is needed by the candidates who received an invite. In addition, the candidates are given 30 calendar days to apply for their nominations. To date, British Columbia has already issued more than 10,000 invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
