1000 Plus Express Entry candidates receive invite for Provincial Nomination in latest draw
October 26, 2021 – Alberta released the details of its immigration draw that was held on October 12, 2021. Through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), Alberta has invited a total of 293 Express Entry candidates with a score requirement of at least 300 points to apply for a provincial nomination. In the month of September, Alberta has held a total of four Express Entry stream draws with each having a minimum score requirement of 300 points that resulted in 1,610 issued invitations for the month alone. However, this is the first draw held by the province for this month.
In the latter months of 2020, Alberta province’s Express Entry draw underwent a temporary hiatus and resumed their rounds of invitation in January 2021. To date, Alberta has already invited a total number of 5,910 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
October 27, 2021 – a total of 888 Express Entry candidates who had a score of at least 744 points was invited by Canada to apply for permanent residence. Invited candidates of the Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship and Canada (IRCC) were able to receive an automatic 600 points due to their provincial nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In the absence of the said nomination, the lowest-scoring candidates would be 144 points. The IRCC invited a total of 681 candidates having a score of at least 720 points in its previous PNP draw. This recent draw is the third-largest draw of 2021; the largest recorded draw as held on June 23 where 1,002 Express Entry candidates were invited, followed by the draw held on June 9 with a total of 940 invited candidates.
