Canada Continues to Invite Immigration Candidates to Apply for PR
October 12, 2021 – British Columbia held its latest draw and resulted in over 400 invited immigration candidates through the province’s four Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). In a regularly held draw, candidates who received an invite came from the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
Specifically, issued invitations went to those who were from the International Graduate, Skilled Worker as well as Entry Level and Semi-Skilled subcategories of EEBC and SI streams. A total of 308 immigration candidates were invited having a minimum score that ranged between 69 and 91 points. To date, British Columbia has already issued almost 10,000 invitations to apply for provincial nomination since the start of 2021.
October 13, 2021 – another Express Entry draw was held by Canada targeting the candidates who have a provincial nomination to apply for permanent residence. A total of 681 invitations were issued by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada to candidates having a score of at least 720 points. Due to the PNP nomination the candidates previously received, candidates automatically received an additional 600 points; however, without the said nomination, the lowest scoring score for candidates would only be 120 points.
In the previous draw held by the IRCC, a total of 761 immigration candidates having a score of at least 742 points were invited. Compared to the previous one, this latest draw is smaller requiring a lower Comprehensive Tanking System (CRS) score; this only states that there were fewer PNP candidates having a higher score in the system pool.
