701 Candidates Receive Invitation to Apply for PR from Alberta and Manitoba
Alberta released the detailed information of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held last September 30, 2021. Through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), Alberta invited 275 Express Entry candidates having a score of at least 300 points to apply for provincial nomination. For the month of September, Alberta has held four draws in the Alberta Express Entry stream requiring a minimum score of 300 points; as a result, the province has already sent out a total number of 1,610 invitations for the month of September alone.
In the latter months of 2020, the Express Entry draw was put to pause and only resumed in January 2021. All in all, Alberta has now invited a total number of 5,617 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination since the rounds of invitation resumed. By 2021, Alberta is allowed to issue 6,250 nomination certificates.
Meanwhile, Manitoba released the details of its latest round of invitations that was held on October 7, 2021. Through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), the province invites a total of 426 immigration candidates within the three Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). Below are the detailed results:
- International Education Stream – 55 invitations sent having no required Expression of Interest (EOI) score
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba – 350 invitations sent having a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 446 points
- Skilled Workers Overseas – 21 invitations sent having a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 729 points
Among these invitations, a total of 84 went to the candidates under the Express Entry system.
