OINP Issues 486 ITAs to Candidates under Human Capital Priorities Stream
October 6, 2021 – After taking a two-month break, Ontario held a new draw for Human Capital Priorities Stream. For this draw, Ontario targeted 18 occupations, and among these are managers, nurses, and human resource professionals. As a result, a total of 486 immigration candidates may qualify for provincial nominations. This nomination may support the candidate’s permanent residency application given that they meet all the eligibility criteria of the program. An automatic 600 points will be added to the overall score if the candidate receives a nomination because this PNP nomination is aligned with the Express Entry System.
Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 463 and 467 points are mainly the target of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidates that have work experience in either one of the following occupations was invited by the OINP in this recent draw. Below is the list of occupations along with its respective National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes:
- NOC 3012 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
- NOC 3211 – Medical laboratory technologists
- NOC 3231 – Opticians
- NOC 3233 – Licensed practical nurses
- NOC 0114 – Other administrative services managers
- NOC 0122 – Banking, credit, and other investment managers
- NOC 0124 – Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers
- NOC 0125 – Other business services managers
- NOC 0211 – Engineering managers
- NOC 0911 – Manufacturing managers
- NOC 1121 – Human resources professionals
- NOC 1122 – Professional occupations in business management consulting
- NOC 2161 – Mathematicians, statisticians, and actuaries
- NOC 0211 – Engineering managers
- NOC 0311 – Managers in health care
- NOC 0601 – Corporate sales managers
- NOC 0631 – Restaurant and food service managers
- NOC 0711 – Construction managers
- NOC 0731 – Managers in transportation
A candidate must at least have one year of work experience in one of the mentioned occupations in order to receive a provincial nomination. A candidate will have an opportunity to be bumped to the front line and receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence once they are nominated.
In 2020, Ontario province has invited a total number of 6,716 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination through the HCP stream that made it Ontario’s most popular Express Entry linked program of the year. Meanwhile, this year, Ontario has invited 4,851 immigration candidates under the same stream.
