Quebec Invites More than 500 Health Workers and Educators Through Arrima EOI

 In News

Quebec recently held its latest draw under the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) and invited a total of 536 immigration candidates. Candidates were invited to apply for permanent selection by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) and must have a score of at least 562 in the Arrima pool.

This latest draw through Arrima also targeted immigration candidates that have a valid job offer outside of the Montreal Metropolitan area and also those who work in occupations that are in demand in Quebec. Below is the targeted list of job occupations along with its respective National Occupational Classification (NOC) code as provided by the government:

  • Elementary school and kindergarten teachers (NOC 4032);
  • Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214);
  • Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 0312);
  • Licensed practical nurses (NOC 3233);
  • Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates (NOC 3413);
  • Secondary school teachers (NOC 4031);

Seemingly, Quebec recently has picked up the pace by sending out a record number of invitations via Arrima at most once a month. The province has conducted Arrima draws on a weekly basis during the month of August wherein the number of invited candidates has exceeded 500 which is remarkably higher than any other draws that Quebec conducted this year. To date, Quebec has already invited a total number of 3,200 candidates to apply for permanent selection.
