Thinking of working in New Brunswick? In early 2020 a shocking news about the global pandemic happened that greatly affected many people’s lives. COVID-19 has deeply impacted jobs globally, some made a drastic transition of working from home, others have their work hours reduces that caused less pay, while others, unfortunately, lost their jobs due to public health safety measures that took place.

On the brighter side, there are some jobs in New Brunswick that became more in-demand than others due to the pandemic. Listed below are the said jobs along with their corresponding National Occupational Classification (NOC) code:

  1. Jobs in education, law, and social community and government services
  • Secondary school teachers (NOC 4031) – in the francophone school system;
  • Elementary school and kindergarten teachers (NOC 4032) – in the francophone school system;

If your work experience matches either of these classifications, you may use it to apply for permanent residence through Canada’s federal economic class programs like Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skill Trade Program (FSTP), and Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). A profile on Canada’s federal Express Entry system is needed for a candidate to apply for these federal programs; however, take note that only skilled workers are considered for these programs.
