Saskatchewan and Alberta Release Its Latest Immigration Draw Results
September 2021 – Two rounds of invitations were held by Alberta province; the first round was held on September 14, 2021, through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), a total of 385 immigration candidates were invited to apply for provincial nomination. For a candidate to be eligible for an invite, one must have at least a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300 points in the Express Entry system.
On September 21, 2021 – Alberta’s second draw for Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) was held that resulted in 450 invited Express Entry candidates having a CRS score of at least 300 points in the Express Entry system. A temporary pause was implemented in the latter months of 2020 and was resumed in January 2021. To date, Alberta has already invited a total number of 5,342 Express Entry candidates to apply for the provincial nomination. The province is permitted to issue 6,250 nomination certificates for the year 2021.
Meanwhile, Saskatchewan held their latest draw for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) that resulted in a total of 391 invited immigration candidates to apply for either of the two immigration programs. 152 of the invited candidates may be eligible candidates for the Express Entry sub-category of SINP, while the remaining 239 invited candidates may be eligible for the Occupations In-demand sub-category.
From each sub-category, the lowest score for a candidate is 71 points in the ranking system of Saskatchewan’s Expression of Interest (EOI). For a candidate to demonstrate that their foreign education can be compared to Canadian standard, one must need an Educational Credential Assessments to which applies to the candidates of both categories.
