September 14, 2021 – Through the Provincial Nominee Program, British Columbia held two draws for skilled workers and international graduates. Through this draw, the province was able to send out a total number of 464 invitations to apply to immigration candidates.

Specifically, 365 immigration candidates under Skilled Worker and International Graduate received an invitation to apply for the provincial nomination through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC (EEBC) category in the general draw. The required minimum score for this draw depends on the category. For Express Entry BC (EEBC) subcategory, the cutoff score was 86 points for Skilled Worker; while 75 points for International Graduate.

Profiles under the Express Entry system of the Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship and Canada (IRCC) must be submitted by the candidates under the said category.  Due to the provincial nomination, candidates who received an invite will automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points that will guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence through the Express Entry system of the IRCC.

Meanwhile, for the Skills Immigration (SI) subcategories, cut-off scores were:

  • International Graduate – 77 points
  • Entry Level and Semi-Skilled – 69 points
  • Skilled Worker – 90 points

Due to the high number of candidates registered in the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) in some occupations, British Columbia holds an additional draw, which also aims to balance all the needs of the province’s labor market. The said separate draw was conducted through the category of EEBC and SI that targets candidates having an occupation that falls under NOC 0631 or NOC 0621 which resulted in 99 invited immigration candidates having a score of 105 points.
