Two Canadian provinces hold immigration draws simultaneously
A new Tech draw was held by the British Columbia and invited a total of 34 tech workers to apply for their provincial nomination through the BC PNP Tech stream under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). For a candidate to be invited on the said draw, one must meet the objectives of either one of British Columbia’s Skill Immigration and Express Entry BC categories that are being managed by the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
In connection to this, invites sent to the eligible candidates were from the International Graduate and Skilled Worker sub-categories that also require for a candidate to have at least a minimum score of 80 points and were given 30 days for them to apply for the said nomination. To date, British Columbia has now issued more than 8,100 invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
Meanwhile, on September 8, 2021, Saskatchewan held its new round of invitations for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) that resulted in a number of 528 immigration candidates invited to apply for provincial nomination under the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand sub-categories having at least 66 points on Saskatchewan’s Expression of Interest (EOI) ranking system. Specifically; 316 invited candidates may possibly eligible for SINP’s Express Entry sub-category, while the remaining 212 candidates may fall under the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.
In connection to this, an Educational Credential Assessment is needed from both groups for them to be able to show that their foreign education can be compared to the standard of Canada. Also, for each category, there are 16 eligible positions available for this recent draw which can be seen on Saskatchewan’s website.
