New Brunswick Starts Off A New Immigration Pilot For All International Graduates

Good news to all international students in New Brunswick who are a graduate from 19 different programs of study! Recently, the province revealed a new immigration pilot project for international students who graduated from four different private colleges in New Brunswick.

With the help of this new immigration project, all international students who graduated from McKenzie College, Eastern College, Oulton College, and Atlantic Business College who have studied one of 19 selected occupations will be given a chance to apply to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) starting April 1, 2022.

All of the specifics for the new immigration project such as qualifications and requirements will be released in the fall. Also, as specified by the government, this new project is only intended for all the recent graduates of the mentioned designated learning institutions who are presently not eligible for the federal Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program.

As mentioned, programs that will take part in this pilot program will only be narrowed to designated New Brunswick educational institutions who have carried this designation for at least five years that also offers eligible programs of study in the said areas:

  1. accounting technicians and bookkeepers
  2. payroll clerks
  3. shippers and receivers
  4. supply chain and logistics supervisors
  5. production logistics co-ordinators
  6. social and community service workers
  7. early childhood educators and assistants
  8. educational assistants
  9. health-care aides
  10. home support workers
  11. medical administrative assistants
  12. computer programmers and interactive media developers
  13. web designers and developers
  14. computer network technicians
  15. user support technicians
  16. licensed practical nurses
  17. paramedics and related occupations
  18. medical laboratory technologists
  19. medical laboratory technicians and pathologists’ assistants

With a collaboration with Opportunities NB (ONB) and Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), this new pilot program was initiated.
