Quebec holds its latest draw and invites a number of candidates via Arrima
August 26, 2021 – Results for the third draw that was held by Quebec were released. This round of invitations was held through the province’s Arrima expression of interest under the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) inviting 585 immigration candidates having a score of 517 points in the Arrima pool.
The said candidates who qualified for the recent draw were invited to apply for Quebec’s permanent selection by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI). Over the month of August, two rounds were already conducted by Quebec through Arrima resulting in the number of invites exceeding 500 which is relatively higher than any other draws that were held this year.
Candidates with a valid job offer outside Montreal Metropolitan Area as well as candidates who work in occupations that are recently in demand in Quebec were targeted by the province in their latest invites. Given by the government, below is the list of targeted occupations along with their respective NOC code:
- Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172);
- Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174);
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175);
- Producers, directors, choreographers and related occupations (NOC 5131);
- Graphic arts technicians (NOC 5223);
- Graphic designers and illustrators (NOC 5241);
- Technical sales specialists – wholesale trade (NOC 6221).
- Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213);
- Electrical and electronics engineers (NOC 2133);
- Industrial and manufacturing engineers (NOC 2141);
- Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) (NOC 2147);
- Information systems analysts and consultants (NOC 2171);
- Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians (NOC 2241);
- Computer network technicians (NOC 2281);
- User support technicians (NOC 2282);
- Information systems testing technicians (NOC 2283);
This latest draw is Quebec’s eighth draw for the year, which resulted in a total number of 2,145 immigration candidates who were invited to apply for permanent selection. Quebec appears to be stepping up its pace when it comes to issuing record numbers of their invitations via Arrima every week.
