161 immigration candidates receive PR invite from PEI’s newest PNP draw

 In News

Prince Edward Island recently held its monthly immigration draw that resulted in a total of 161 invited immigration candidates through the province’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The bigger number of invites went to the Express Entry and Labor Impact category having a total number of 152 invited candidates, while the remaining 9 invitations were given to the candidates for Business Impact Stream.

The PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is an enhanced type of PNP due to it being linked to the federal government’s Express Entry system. PEI’s Express Entry PNP system handles applications for three programs for economic-class immigrations, namely; Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

This recent draw was the eighth draw of PEI and with that, the province has already invited a total number of 1,194 immigration candidates so far this year. PEI will hold their next draw expected on September 16, 2021.
