More than 3000 immigration candidates receive invitation for PR
Since the start of the year, the Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held draws only for either Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream. This is due to the global pandemic and like any other country, there are precautionary measures being implemented. Candidates for the said categories are most likely living in Canada and so, draws for these categories are much more feasible.
August 19, 2021 – Another round of invitations was held by Canada that resulted in a number of 3,000 invited immigration candidates to apply for permanent residency. For a candidate to be qualified for the CEC draw, one must at least reach a score of 403 points which is a point less than what was required from the previous draw. In addition to this, a candidate must have submitted their Express Entry profile before August 1, 2021 for them to be able to receive an invite.
Meanwhile, in Quebec, the province held their biggest draw of the year through Arrima. This draw was based on the province’s new Expression of Interest system that was launched last July 2021. With this draw, Quebec has invited a total number of 515 immigration candidates to apply for their permanent selection. Candidates who submitted their respective Expression of Interest (EOI) through Quebec’s registration portal, Arrima, were invited through the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) that was also referred to as Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). A candidate may apply for permanent residence once they receive a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ).
