Alberta holds its biggest Provincial Nominee draw this year
August 10, 2021 – The province of Alberta held its latest draw that resulted in 396 invited immigration candidates to apply for the provincial nomination making it the biggest draw of 2021. Candidates of the recent draw were invited through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). To be able to get an invite, candidates must have a Comprehensive Ranking System Score (CRS) of at least 300 points. This score is recorded as the lowest score requirement for a candidate to be eligible for a provincial nomination in this province.
Despite having the same minimum requirement for a CRS score, the recent draw for the AINP invited more immigration candidates compared to the previous one. All invited candidates for this recent draw may now submit their applications through the Alberta Express Entry system.
During the last months of 2020, draws for the Express Entry were halted and to date, Alberta has now invited a total number of 3,157 Express Entry immigration candidates to apply for their provincial nomination program. A few months before the year ends, Alberta still has a number to fill as the province is allowed to issue a nomination certificate to 6,250 immigration candidates in 2021.
