New Express Entry Draw in British Columbia Invites 374 PNP Candidates

August 2, 2021 – Two new draws for Provincial Nominee Program were held in British Columbia which resulted in a total number of 374 invited immigration candidates. Along with the invited candidates from the recent draws, British Columbia now has already issued a total number of 7,041 ITAs to apply for provincial nomination since the start of 2021.

A total number of 361 candidates were invited having a minimum score between 74 and 91 points. While the remaining 13 invites came from the draw conducted under EEBC and SI categories that targeted candidates with an occupation that falls under NOC 0631 and NOC 0621 having a score of 107 points.

As part of British Columbia’s PNP program, the province holds two separate rounds of invites twice a month since February. Two separate draws consist of a draw that aims to target retail and wholesale managers also managers from restaurant and food services; while the second one is a general draw. As per the province’s statement, the second draw was held because of the province’s high number of registered candidates and applicants in the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) having the said two occupations. Also, British Columbia focuses on balancing the needs in all provincial labor market sectors.

Invitations in the province’s general draw were given to the candidates under the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI) streams of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). Categorically, those who were invited were from the sub-categories of EEBC and SI streams, namely; International Graduate, Skilled Worker, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled.
