Newly Published Job Vacancies in Canada’s Different Work Sectors Now in High Demand
With the global pandemic that the world is still currently experiencing, restaurants were deeply affected by having employees forcefully take social assistance and recruiters having a hard time calling their staff to return to work.
Job vacancies in the health care, accommodation, and food services sector are now in high demand. Based on Canada’s statistics, the health sector has the highest number in terms of open and available positions; while the accommodation and food services sector had the highest rate of employers that are in search of qualified workers.
An estimated number of 671,100 open positions were being filled by employers since May. During the past seven months, the health sector remains to have the highest number in terms of job openings in Canada. In the month of May alone, a total of 107,300 open positions in Canada’s health care sector. Second to the highest number of vacancies and job openings come from the accommodation and food services sector having a total of 78,000 openings, followed by 73,800 job vacancies from the retail trade sector.
Canada’s estimated number of open positions varies from the number of vacancies per sector. A vacancy rate of 7.8% from the accommodation and food services sector could mirror recruitment challenges and seasonal hiring as well.
