Canada’s Express Entry draw invites 6,000 CEC Candidates
June 24, 2021 – Another Express Entry draw was held having a total number of 6,000 invitations to apply for permanent residency under the Canadian Express Class (CEC) with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of only 357 being the second lowest CRS cut-off score for a CEC-only draw. Lowest score recorded was held last February 13, 2021 requiring only 75 CRS score for 27,332 CECE candidates that were invited to apply for PR.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has a goal to welcome 401,000 new immigrants this year, sending invites to in-Canada candidates resulting to CEC-only draws having low CRS requirements. These candidates must have at least one year of Canadian work experience under a skilled occupation and must be an intermediate level in English or French Language.
Since the start of the pandemic, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been holding draws for only CEC and PNP due to the higher chance of candidates already living in Canada. With the borders still closed, Canada’s travel restrictions have been reduced but are now starting to go back to normal. However, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mentioned that in the coming weeks more travel restrictions might already be lifted.
