OINP Invites More Than 900 Candidates under Ontario’s EOI System

June 16, 2020 Immigration draw took place in Ontario having 940 invitation to apply for provincial nomination. Candidates who had their profiles submitted in the new pool of Expression of Interest (EOI) were given an invite by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) who may qualify for one of the two streams in the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker and International Student streams.

The first stream under the Employer Job Offer category is the Ontario Foreign Worker Stream, which is open to foreign nationals who are eligible to receive a job offer from any employer in Ontario as long as they meet the eligibility requirement.

Candidates must at least have two years of work experience in a skilled occupation or equivalent number of hours, eligible job offer from an employer in Canada, and must have an intention to live and migrate in Ontario.

Out of 940 invites, a total number of 569 were invited for the Foreign Worker Stream. The candidate with targeted occupations needs a score of at least 38 points and above Location requirement is not needed for the said draw.
International Stream Student Stream is welcome to all foreign nationals who hold an eligible job offer from an employer in Ontario and as long as you meet the eligibility requirements, you do not necessarily have to apply from within Canada. For a candidate to be eligible in this stream, one must have completed a program at a Canadian Designated Learning Institutions (DLI), must have an eligible job offer from an employer in Ontario and of course must have the intention to live in the province.

The remaining number of 371 invites were given to candidates who may be eligible for the International Student Stream. Unlike the Foreign Worker Stream, EOI score for this stream is higher compared to the latter, Candidates must have at least 66 points and above for them to be invited.
